Job Description
This position will act as a Software Engineer in the Engineering Department at Medstrat, Inc in Downers Grove, IL. The job requires the prospective employee to be able to design and write sophisticated graphics software for the iPad using Objective-C. The candidate must possess a strong Image Processing background and be comfortable with mathematical concepts. Duties will include creating new software features in the medical image viewer portion of the iPad app and debugging issues arising from customer use of the software. The successful candidate will be able to write software in an object-oriented paradigm, work in collaboration with other Software Engineers and Technical Support staff to gather requirements from users, design solutions that meet requirements, and write source to provide the requested improvements. This position reports to the Software Architect.
- Develop software to provide new features on the iPad including adding measurement tools and implant templating capabilities
- Perform maintenance of the iPad app source code as required
- Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases of the software development process
- Debug issues that arise from customer feedback
- Effectively work with multidisciplinary personnel to achieve project goals
- B.S. in Computer Science (or a related field) with at least four (4) years of software development experience
- A solid understanding of Objective-C
- Experience with image processing
- Strong mathematics background
- Demonstrated ability to find solutions to complex technical problems
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
