Our software is available on both Windows and the Mac. The software requirements are as follows:
For Windows, you must be running either Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista (32- or 64-bit), or Windows 7 (32- or 64-bit). For the Mac, you must be running a 64-bit Intel Mac with either Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
A registered username and password are required to download using the links below. If you have not already received your credentials and wish to download the browser software, then please contact Medstrat.
How to Install echoes on Windows
You must meet the requirements listed above before proceeding.
Click on the Windows download above and then click the Run button to execute the installer. Click Agree to the End User License Agreement and then click the Install button. A short-cut for echoes will automatically be created on your Desktop.
A file association will be created between the file extension "dcm" and the echoes Browser so that if you click on a file ending in ".dcm" in Windows Explorer, the echoes Viewer will open that DICOM file.
How to Install MacPACS on your Mac
You must meet the requirements listed above before proceeding.
Click on the MacPACS download above and follow the installation instructions when the installer begins to run, including clicking Agree to the End User License Agreement and then clicking Continue for all other items. Finally, when MacPACS begins running for the first time, either drag the MacPACS icon to an internal position within the Dock or right-click the MacPACS icon in the Dock and select "Keep in Dock".
A file association will be created between the file extension "dcm" and MacPACS so that if you click on a file ending in ".dcm" in the Finder, the MacPACS Viewer will open that DICOM file.
