If you have a Distributor Subscription to Joints, then you have access to the Joints Relay feature and you will be given a link below to download a personalized Joints Relay installer. If you do not receive a link at the bottom of this page and believe that this is in error, then please contact Medstrat Support.
How to Setup a Joints Relay
To set-up your relay from any orthopedic practice back to your Joints Server, do the following:
1. Simply email the link at the bottom of this page to your contact at the practice and have them click on the link and install the software on one of their PCs. The Joints Relay software will automatically begin running after installation. In addition, during the software installation, a shortcut will be added to the Startup folder on their PC, so that in the event that the computer is ever turned off or rebooted, you can rest assured that your personalized Joints Relay will always be up and running.
2. Once the Joints Relay is up and running, have your contact at the practice change the AE Title and port to whatever is convenient for them, if the default values do not suffice. Then, on their PACS, have them set-up a DICOM Push destination that matches the AE Title, IP address, and port that is displayed in the Joints Relay window. Whenever you need an image from that practice, simply have them DICOM Push the images from their PACS to that DICOM Push destination. The DICOM image files will be relayed securely across the Internet to your Joints Server.
We have prepared a simple letter outlining these Installation Instructions for your use.
